Man with Greyhounds for a Walk

A man is taking his Greyhounds for a walk in the former royal grounds at Tatoi. This is the first time I ever saw greyhounds in front of me. Although they are pretty impressive beasts, Greeks prefer other large dogs. To put things into perspective, I have seen St Bernard dogs at least twice before but never this type of dog.

I entered the former royal fields together with this man. I was impressed by the size and body structure of the dogs but I didn’t take a photo at this time; instead I went about shooting away. After some time I saw him again in the distance coming towards me. I prepared myself to make the photo because I just had to capture the beasts.

I was lucky to have one of the dogs staring at me. This way that particular animal draws attention to itself, making the surrounding area less important. Of course, I had to kneel in order to take the photo. When taking photos of kids and animals, it is generally better to get to their eye level instead of shooting just standing up.

That’s all about this photo of the man taking his Greyhounds for a walk.
